OK kids, let your imagination go wild. A simple bird to draw basically using simple geometric shapes which you can then go crazy on with colour. Have fun.
Well actually in Australia we try to avoid swimming with them unless we are in a cage. Noahs or Noah’s Arks is a rhyming slang term used in Australia for sharks. I think you get it. Luckily for you this one isn’t dangerous. Have fun.
Hatching is when cartoonists fill an area with lines close together to make that area darker. It is a form of shading. The more lines you use and the closer they are together the darker the area will be. If you have lots of patience you can use dots instead of lines. This is called stipple.
When you’ve finished why not send me an example of your drawing (or any other 5 minute doodle). I’d really like to see them as I’m sure there is some great stuff being created by you. Ill post as many as possible on this site. Make sure you let a responsible adult know you are going to send your drawings. It would be a good idea to get them to help you scan your drawing, save it as a jpeg file at 150dpi and then email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org Make sure you include your first name and age. This info will be only be used to identify your work in the gallery. So get started..I’m looking forward to seeing you great drawings.
